A Dangerous Business - Getting Swept Away in Travel - Amanda is from small town Ohio but travels all over the world. She has a positive outlook and inspires others to travel. I particularly like her travel philosophies – get started by reading the excellent post Life is Short, Travel Now.
Suzy Guese - Traveling With a Redheaded Temperament - Suzy’s writing is equal parts striking wit and biting sarcasm, and she’s not afraid to write about some of the quirkier, lesser known destinations others would ignore. Her post about visiting Goodland, Kansas is one of my favorites.
Tend to Travel – The Traveling Architect - Amer has one of the most unique travel blogs out there. As an architect, he brings an eye for great design to the places he visits. Amer is always keen to point out elements that I would otherwise miss. His post on the Blue Mosque in Istanbul is a good place to start to.
The Travel Chica - On Sabbatical in Latin America - Stephanie is on one of my dream trips now, spending over a year exploring Latin America. From trekking across glaciers to visiting penguin colonies, Stephanie is having an incredible adventure and sharing every experience with her readers.
Bucket List Journey – On an Unconventional Quest to See, Do & Eat…Everything - Annette has a great sense of adventure and is always up for a new experience. Her eating experiences are definitely some of the more entertaining posts I’ve read – I suggest reading about her adventures eating lamb brains.
Never Ending Footsteps – Traveling the World, One Step at a Time - Lauren’s stories are always entertaining, and she’s had her fare share of misadventures which she is more than happy to share. Check out her recount of getting scammed in Shanghai.
Nomadic Samuel – Miles Away From Ordinary, Dripping With Sarcasm - Samuel’s site is my favorite of the nomadic bloggers. Unpretentious, unique destinations, and great content. I particularly enjoy his photo essays – one of my favorites is his essay on Monks Behaving Badly in Southeast Asia.
Beers and Beans - In search of the unusual, the mundane, the beautiful, and the forgotten. Beth and Randy are a professional photographer/journalist combo who are sharing their incredible round-the-world journeys with the rest of us. Check out some of their amazing photography.
Adventurous Kate - Kate’s blog title is not a misnomer – she really does have some of the best adventures out there and she shares all the details (good and bad!) them with her readers. One time, she was even shipwrecked while in Indonesia.
